ok, you know it’s been a long time when you cannot remember the login details for your blog. eek. my bad .
apologies to those of you who have visited to find nothing new, i’m flattered by the hits I have recieved during my hiatus.
truth is… this blog began as a place for me to practice the craft of writing, however along the way it then turned into a self indulgent outlet for my personal fashion interest…
Well I think its time to get back to the basics, push through the writers block and try and craft something readable. So for la vie a la mode, thats where I am heading. Pure literary goodness (i hope).
The days are getting longer and the barometer is rising… Summer is in the air.
Salty hair, sunkissed skin, days spent on the sand & in the surf. Weekends spent in the sunshine with the loveliest people in the world. A warm Christmas day spent with family & friends. Hot nights spent star gazing. Lazy Saturday brunches by the pool. Extra money in the bank. Spending that extra money on Christmas presents for my lovelies. Market-trawling. New Years Eve celebrations. Countless trips to 7/11 for slurpees. Havaianas. Mango and watermelon for breakfast, lunch and tea. Roadtrips left with destination unknown.
Can you feel it? The sun smiling down, the breeze kissing your skin… Ah its almost here!
University is out. One year down, two to go. It feels good, and I am sure that as soon as I get over the mental exhaustion it will feel great.
A body balance class followed by a bubble bath followed by an early night is well and truly in order. I feel as though I could sleep for days and still be tired. Hoping for some good writing inspiration over the next four months. But until then, doesn’t this look like bliss..? Perhaps it’s just the state of mind I’m in at the moment ha.
Almost sunset. Almost Friday night soup kitchen. Almost national free slurpee day. Almost have a clean room. Almost pay day. Almost finished my first year of university. Almost heading to a magical land of happiness (Ikea). Almost recovered from the broken bone. Almost off to Sydney. Almost summer. Almost belated birthday celebrations. Almost through the CS Lewis classics. Almost Christmas. Almost boxing day sales. Almost New Years. Almost moving out with two great friends. Almost realised the true friends. Almost worked out the important things.
